Our Programs

What Makes Our Program Unique?

The educational programs at Anna Marie Montessori were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.

Hours of operation: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Group Work

Although the Montessori Method does place focus on the individual cultivation of skills and abilities AMM additionally gives attention to working within groups. These teamwork activities prepare the child for the transition to public school environments and other social situations.

Yoga / Meditation

At the start of each day, the class engages in an easy to grasp meditation session that incorporates yoga poses. This time is used to balance the body and calm the child's mind for the day's work.

Empathy Training

By means of group discussion, the child is made aware of how their actions (positive or negative) affect their fellow students, parents, and teachers. Through this training, children are thought to think not only from their own perspective but through that of others.

Music

Once a week our Music teacher arrives for an hour-long session of uplifting song and dance. This break in routine provides a much-needed change of pace. In addition, each class has routine practices for our seasonal performances.

Parent Assistance

The program involves a high interaction with the parent as well as guided training and coaching on how to utilize Montessori methodology in order to accommodate the child's learning at school and at home.

Gardening

Following the tradition of the original Montessori method, AMM has revived the gardening program in which children learn many aspects of plant growth including hands on gardening activities.
